Oceanfront home with spectacular 250 degree views, semi private beach accessed via on-property staircase, great swimming, snorkeling and surfing nearby. A place to relax and enjoy nature from every corner of the house.
Located on Playa Careyeros, in between Punta de Mita and Sayulita. Access the surfing, beautiful beaches, picturesque towns and delicious cuisine the area is so well known for! We strongly recommend having a car to stay here.
The space
Casa Lamanai is a two bedroom upstairs house which overlooks the Pacific Ocean (The downstairs is a separate house that is rented long term by a single lady who lives here with her pets ) It is located on a cliff above one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. It is right around the point from the Punta Mita Four Seasons Resort. As you cook, eat lunch, lounge in the hammock or browse the internet you are able to gaze out at the ocean and enjoy its many changing aspects. Two palm trees move gently in the breeze and beyond and you then you can often watch whales and dolphins as they play in the sea.
There are some 41 restaurants within a 10 to 15 minute drive, not counting all the taco and ceviche stands.
Ready for a swim; just walk down the short trail and staircase that leads to a mostly deserted beach. This beach in turn leads you to Playa Careyeros or Litibu depending on whether you go to the left or the right. During the summer months we have a turtle protection program and you can join us in releasing baby turtles on the same beach were they were born. If you are an expert surfer you can surf right off the rocks to the right of the house, and if you want to learn how to surf, the second best beach in the world for learning is at Punta de Mita, and the Sayulita area provides a variety of world renown surfing spots. There are many available activities such as snorkeling, swimming, canopy tours, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, and boat trips out to Las Marietas to swim and watch whales, visiting a mountain village or other seaside areas.
The two bedroom, two bathroom house is a comfortable place to spend your vacation or for a longer visit. It is fully equipped, and you can simply arrive and enjoy the space.
A vehicle is needed to arrive at this pristine beach away from the hustle and bustle of more touristy areas like Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita.
This is my families home and as such has a lived-in feel: the coffee cups are from the various places we have visited during our travels, there are family portraits and personal artwork on the walls, etc, however there is plenty of space for your belongings as well as the closets are about 90% free for your use. I appreciate it when you treat it as a home and not just a rental.
Guest access
Internet, great beaches, the whole house is for your use, The house is totally cleaned before you arrive and after you leave. If you desire additional cleaning, please notify beforehand and the cost for this is $20 US for each cleaning.
Other things to note
Please put your trash in the blue bin outside the fence of the property or the recycling bin if applicable.
Please rinse yourself and all beach accessories thoroughly with the hose outside before coming up the stairs and DON'T flush toilet paper as we are on a septic system!
The yard and exterior walkways of the property have security cameras, they are located as follows:
- Entry way courtyard leading to the main door
- Staircase down to the beach
- Back doors of the downstairs unit. This area is not accessible to guest.
